Driving Directions

Windrock Lodge is easily accessible from Interstate 40 in Knoxville.

From I-40, take the exit for I-140 E/TN-162 N, toward Maryville/Oak Ridge. Merge onto TN-162 N/Pellissippi Parkway toward Oak Ridge. After about 6 miles, Pellissippi Parkway become TN-62 W. Go 11.7 miles, turn right on Windrock Road. Travel about half a mile to the lodge at 315 Windrock Road.

Area Trails

Windrock Lodge is near more than 160 miles of trails on Windrock Mountain and the Coal Creek Off Highway Vehicle Area. Most are moderate to difficult, with beautiful scenery at every turn. From the lodge, you can access three additional areas with approximately 250,000 acres and several hundred miles of off-road adventure-all without ever dismounting your ATV.

The consolidated North Cumberland WMA, now Tennessee's biggest state-owned wildlife management area, includes units formerly known as the Royal Blue, Sundquist and Brimstone WMAs.

Permits

Each person must have a Land Use Permit for entering the ATV areas. Riders may purchase permits for one, two, three or four days; yearly permits are also available. Permits can be purchased at the following Oliver Springs locations:
